Peter Eaton clarinets have featured on hundreds of CDs, film and TV soundtracks since 1982. In the hands of the finest soloists on the world stage, as well as orchestral principals and session musicians, they are some of the most recorded clarinets in the world. Please read what these world-class musicians have to say about them.
This list does not include the large number of prominent players, including internationally renowned soloists and orchestral principals, who use Peter Eaton mouthpieces on other makes of clarinet.
Amongst younger musicians, the principal clarinettist of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for 2011 was a player of Peter Eaton clarinets and mouthpieces. For eight consecutive years to 2007, the principal clarinettist of the NYO was a player of our clarinets and mouthpieces. Three players held the position during the eight-year period, both models of clarinet, International and Elite, being represented.
Two of those gifted young players also won the woodwind prize at the BBC Young Musician competition. Since the competition began in 1978, five clarinet players have played in the concerto final. Four of these wonderful musicians play Peter Eaton clarinets: Michael Collins, Emma Johnson, Sarah Williamson and Mark Simpson. Emma Johnson and Mark Simpson went on to win the title of BBC Young Musician of the Year.
